When you enter The Scissor Joint you will feel like you are right at home being greeted by our welcoming staff! Our owners, Pat Malvolta and Linda McDonald, have been together almost 20 years building a team that is more than just employees they are more like family and they want to pass that onto their customers.
Pat and Linda take pride in their salon, their staff, their clients and their community. They both contribute their time and efforts into bettering Sussex County through The Scissor Joint. Pat & Linda head up the "Look Good, Feel Better" Program in Sussex County. Pat volunteers for the Dasi organization and is a member of the "Main Street Program" in Newton. Linda is actively involved in fundraising for Lake Mohawk and serves as a chairperson for the "Sussex County Art & Heritage Councils Garden Tour". Both women also serve as members of the "Sussex County Chamber of Commerce". As a salon, The Scissor Joint, is associated with "Locks of Love" and "Cut-athons" for Project Sufficiency & Hospice.
The Scissor Joint is not a "revolving door" salon, once people come to work with us and see our salon camaraderie they want to stay here and we pass that onto to our clientele. Our experienced and friendly staff is committed to nothing short of excellence. We are proud members of the professional beauty industry, continually looking for ways to better our skills and learn new techniques.
